View Full Version : Blinkers?

Something I'm noticing recently is that my blinkers wont stay on for as long of a turn of the steering wheel.

Its something that's been creeping up slowly, but I find myself repeatedly seeing the blinker go off on its own, well before it should. And having to turn it back on all the time....

By the way, remember when I reported that my car CONVULSES into turns, and i lost hold of the steering wheel entering into a busy road? I can duplicate it. And I would be willing to bet I could duplicate it on any 6 series. Remember how everyone called me a total idiot who cant drive? I bet if you follow some simple steps, you can make it happen too....

I can't say mine are doing that, but the volume for the turn signal (clicking) is barely audible. I noticed it today after pickup of the 25.02 programmed car. Maybe I should turn the audio down?

Same here, I can BEAR-ly hear them, and it is hard to see them because the steering wheel is right in the way.

Hard to say what system is changing. My guess is there is an optical encoder in the steering section that sends the off signal to turn signal system. So a decreased sensitivity sensor could be the culprit. If readily repeatable certainly the dealer should be able to find fault and repair. No SIBs apply, at least not yet.

Give me the exact sequence or steps that can duplicate your convulsing. I try it out. My guess is it may be STEP tranny only but, maybe not.

Forgive me for being an :idiot: , but you are not talking about the 3 flashes you get from pushing the turn indicator lever up to but not beyond the "detent" on the steering column, in either direction, are you? You are talking about pushing the turn indicator level all the way in the appropriate direction and having it turn off before it should, right?

Of course.

Of course.
Well, then, I can't help you.
