Glad to be part of the start-up group on what will become one of the best BMW forums ever.

Hope to see many of our friends from other boards come on over and join in on the fun.

My 6er is my first, but not last, BMW. I spent so many years out of the country and in some places where POV (Private Owned Vehicle) were not even allowed that I missed out on a lot of good driving years and cars. I'm trying to make up for it now.

Some may know me for my penchant to dig into things on the 6ers so I'll try to keep us up on Service Bulletins, Software status and fixes for problems. I know others will chip in as well so it will never be a one member thing.

Another favorite thing of mine is participating in BMW meets. I will drive many 100s of miles to participate. It's all about the people - the best to be found anywhere.

Edit (2 July 2007, 1003 pm EDT). In an experiment I removed te previous pic here to see if I could gain space on server. Did not do any good and hosed up this post a little. In another test exercise I trid posting the same pic reduced in size. As soon as I got it under 100kb it worked. Not sure what is still wrong but at least a glimmer of improvement.

Yea, I've heard from several of this and just went to look see for myself late last night. Screws up a lot of other posts that referred to SIBs and other valuable info that was in that thread. Just shows what THAT board is all about $$. About 2/3 days ago I was in there helping someone out. I guess WHOSIS does not need that there.

Hey Dave,

Where are the pics of that barbecue you hosted? I want to see those 4" T-Bones you had on the grill.

Barbecue :eatdrink: hosted? :old: Did I miss it?

You're not thinking of the Florida German Barbecue scheduled for this Sunday, 26 August r u?

That's over in Tampa (Florida's left coast) area. Last count was over 200 cars. I am NOT hosting that crowd I can tell you that. Several of us including JT (he of the e24 Alpina and winner of the best in show at last Sharkfest) will drive over from my local area to meet a CFBMW group in Orlando and then form there on to Tampa area. Will have video and pics next week.
