As the happy owner of a 2006 650 rag top for the past four years, I was looking for something to replace my 2006 Range Rover Sport supercharged as my bad weather/hauling stuff vehicle. I checked out the Acura ZDX (didn't like the steering at all), 550 GT (steering ok, ride ok, didn't really like the looks) new Range Rover Sport supercharged (all things pretty good, but other than more horses, basically the same car I had), and then, my dealership got in an X6 M. Even though I didn't want to spend that much money, I couldn't believe the driving experience. I have driven an M6, M5, X5 M, Porsche Cayenne Turbo, and a Jaguar XFR, and I have got to say, the X6 M is unique. The 2010 X6 M is the finest vehicle I have ever driven, and I must say I no longer want to drive my 650 when the sun is out. Unless you can afford an X6 M, don't ever drive one.

I can't afford it. Thanks for the heads up - sounds like an awesome vehicle...
I was ready to buy it just by the looks of it.

Too bad it's ugly as hell, IMO. :puke:

I wouldn't say that, but it doesn't have the utility I want. Now an M5 Touring...that would trip my trigger and the GL would be gone!
I saw the X6M (as well as an X5M) at the same dealer as Gotwish...It's a mean looking ride for sure. Wide and muscular.

Firstly, congrats! :thumb:
Can you tell us more why you rate the X6 M so highly? I haven't driven the X6 M, but I'm willing to guess that you rate it so highly because it has such a torquey delivery, smooth steptronic transmission; easy to drive like a Merc AMG, but with the handling of a BMW M.
For an SUV, it's probably my favourite in the looks department.
Lastly, :postpics:

Surprisingly, I think the 5-Series GT is more attractive than the X6, though still pretty pointless.
