Guys,

I know some of you are arriving Thursday and others Friday (Including myself).
Boxy thought of asking everyone what they're dinner plans are for the trip. I am just his secretary writting/putting up this thread.

Specifically, we were talking about all of us getting together for dinner on Friday the 19th (most of us will be there by then).

Feel free to bring any options, suggestions, demands and ideas to the table.:woot:

Suggested meeting time: 8 PM.

I am certainly game for a nice dinner on Friday. There are probably 1000 restaurants in the area to choose from. Steak restaurants are supposedly tops in Chi-town but per a guy from Chicago I know, none are head and shoulders above the rest. We could do a chain like Mortons or Ruth Chris or find a local favorite. Or ask the hotel concierge once we are there.

Note some of us will be there for dinner on Thursday as well. We'll save y'all some food for Friday.

What might be good for a Friday schedule is short trips here and there so we can meet others at the hotel for the next runs and then for dinner and going out in the evening.

So many selections, I don't have a clue! My last trip was a hunt to find the best pizza in town, so I can't comment on much else. Anyone have first-hand knowledge of possibilities? I'm up for anything - Thurs and Fri nights.

Given the arrival times, it looks best to plan a late evening dinner, 8ish on both nights. I would think we could do local walks on Thursday afternoon (Navy Pier for example) followed by a late dinner and then Friday do bigger iteneraries.

Mrs CD & I are not big on steak but fresh made pizza now that is another matter. Or fresh seafood (her fish, me shellfish).

hunt to find the best pizza

The words "Best Pizza" and "Chicago" should even be in the same paragraph!

I've got a good lead on a martini bar we can hit up after dinner one night. Can't remember the name, but I'll post it tomorrow.

Don't try to change it now "Mr. I love munching on hotdogs".

Pizza is a definite must for me over there! But we can do that for lunch on Saturday, can't we? Breakfast? Midnight snack? :dunno:

Just a thought....

Here is one that we (my wife and I) find to be the best in town. Also, includes a live jazz music before 10:00 PM Local time and Trance/Disco after wards.
