This first post is a teaser. Here are a few quickies from the top of Sandia Peak, the worlds longest tram. It's about 5000 ft (1500 m) above the valley floor. I made them smaller than usual so that I can email some teasers to friends at work as well.

Great shots.

Beautiful views from there. I've been in winter with snow on ground as well as summer. Sunsets are spectacular. Never could get up in time for sunrise though.

Nice pics, Richard...can't wait to see more! Hey, in that "dusk" picture, is that the moon rising to the left of the mountain in the far distance - although a bit obscured?

The sunset was a little disapointing. A nice glow but not much color to the sky. No clouds. Before the sunset, the view was compromised by the glare of the sun and some haze. But it certainly was neat to visit and with great views of the city. I read it snowed 19 inches on top a few weeks ago. You could still see some snow in the shadowy areas.
