I can understand the efficiency aspect of things, but an I-3? I think that's going a bit far...a Yugo in BMW clothing. :shake:

x16i - 1,35 liters I3, 122hk/190Nm
x18i - 1,35 liters I3, 150hk/220Nm
x20i - 1,35 liters I3, 180hk/260Nm

Its unlikely that we will get the 3 cylinder engines here in the states but if they make a turbocharged&supercharged or a turbo/hybrid 3 cylinder powerplant for the base models in Europe, it might be an interesting idea

Seriously, this 3 cylinder talk, how gutless will they be, open roads would be a nightmare, around town might be ok, but underpowered heaps on the open road would only slow me down and get in the way on hills:shake: :bang:
