2009 BMW Z4: First Official Photo

Once again, BMWBlog is coming through for their readers. From the official 2009 BMW Z4 catalog, here is a teaser photo with the new Z4. Yesterday, we saw the first real photo of the 09 Z4 at a BMW dealership and I mentioned that within days we will get more photos released.

I hope this new photo will answer some of the questions that you had after seeing the real life shot. My opinion: STUNNING!!

The car will be a great hit as long as the base price will not be set too high compared to its competitors.

Update: It has been confirmed, it is definitely the real deal. The car looks a little bit disproportionate due to the brochure scan.

The front wheel looks bent outwards.

Maybe that will be a styling / upgrade feature of the new Z4 :)

I prefer the tail lights of the current one. It seems they have toned down what Bangle called the sculptured look heading more to smoother/elegant lines.

this could be my next BMW...6 series by 2011 will be too expensive to justify for my tastes
wonder what the costs on this baby are

Bear do you have a nice side view(not angled with top up)..front still seems a bit long
BTW I love this color on the car..is it Monaco Blue(I know the colors on the catalog are often very decieving)

:thumb::woot: Beautiful. Well done. Interesting to see the front lights resemble the 3 series sedan, while the side view of the tail lights look a bit like ours. The fixed roof coupe should be beautiful as well. They have gone for a very elegant design that is very modern while incorporating the sculptured look.

I now have high hopes for the next 6 series. We have already seen 3 beautiful coupe designs in a row: Concept CS, 3 series coupe and now this. :thumb:

The M coupe version will be a real rocket! Also interesting to see BMW has kept the Z4 name generic.

Don't forget the M3 & M6 verts.

I like it a lot. It would be a consideration, especially in an ///M version.
One could hope for the M3 V8, 415hp in that. :thumb:
But I could be happy with the 300hp TT I6 as well.

we now see the CS crease in both the new 7er and now the new Z4...it is an interesting design style

we'll have to see how they intergrate it into the F1x 6ers :electric:

I think it is BEAUTIFUL!!! I'm so confused what to do next: go-cart DD? Understated 535? Mr. BigTime 7er? Or go old-school-country-doctor style and drive a beat-up pick-up truck?

I was also considering getting a beat-up 2002 and fixing her up.???
