The Z4 needs new shoes. I am in the age old question to RF or NonRF?
The OEM Dunlop's are ultra high performance summer tires. This skateboard gets driven in the winter so, I am considering moving to non-RFs and an ultra high performance all season tire.
Anyone have experience with Yokohamms ADVAN S.4's?

How long do you intend to keep the Z4, given the new one is literally just around the corner? The runflats tend to have better mileage, everything else equal.

OzBoy - This one will be around for a while and is operated as a DD. The All Season is the draw away from the RFs. We do get some limited days of snow up here (that is the white crap that falls when it is supposed to be raining). The Dunlop RF are about the worst thing I have even driven in the snow.
Any thoughts?

Runflats are horrible when cold. No grip at all. As you are intending to keep the Z4 for a while and that it is a fun car to drive, driving pleasure is what counts. Forget the runflats and just make sure you have some roadside assist service.
We have a lot of tyre and wheel gurus here on this Board. They'll have their opinions too.

Judging by the fact the car is not going to be on the performance edge (except for endurance) I would go with an all-season runflat for piece of mind. One hour on the side of the road with a flat will far outweigh the extra performance you might get out of an all season ultra high performance tire.
Just my 2 cents.

I replaced the Pirelli's on my '04 745 with Yokohama Advan's. Even though they were an all-season compared to the UHP Pirelli's I thought they were far superior. Much better in the rain (no snow to compare) and no significant difference (if any) in all other conditions - and much quieter. I really liked the Yoko's.
