Interesting site. To answer your question, I like a clean design with plenty of luxury and sport. I think BMW designs are among the cleanest layouts. IDrive certainly cuts down on center console buttons.

Here are some of mine from over the years from an '87 Dodge Daytona Shelby Z, a '95 Mitsi 3000GT VR-4, a '99 540i, an '02 M5, an '06 650i and the '08 550i. EDIT: I just added the X3, not as fancy as the 5 or 6 but a clean functional layout.

By coincidence I was thinking to myself while driving the NSX today how much I still love the interior after 17 yrs. Then your post starts off with it despite the fact that the car has been out of production for several years now.

Thanks for posting this Bear!

Ah yes, but the NSX was the only out-of-production car featured that I could see:thumb:

I spotted the E46 M3, also out of production.

Every since I first saw the new X5 interior, which made its way to the X6, I thought it was the best looking BMW dash design thus far.:woot:

ok what's the deal with the steering wheel centers ..the 6er is a full round inset...many of the others the top is flatten and looks awful

Also how come the gear selector in sport pkg on the 08 6er is not the same for any of the other cars..I actually real like the looks over the on in the picture of X5/X6 interior

The X5/X6 use the original electronic shifter. For the sport package 5 & 6er, they redesigned the shifter for a better feel when manual shifting (I presume). I would have thought the X6 with paddles would use it. I agree it looks better than the standard one.

:fotosign: The E63/E64 6 series have the best interiors, especially the Individual ones like my bro's.

So does my bro. He still hasn't taken pics of his Individual Champagne yet. :stick:. The double upper strip provides that two tone look and leather all around. :thumb: BMW employs a small team of people to get the Individual combinations to look right.
