when while at ToD I saw Andol's really nice angel eyes. I thought that maybe mine just came the way they did: dim and yellow. That was until he told me it was a simple H8 swap. Ordered the GP Thunder 8500k H8s from techsunny.com for 25 bucks shipped. Swapped them out in 10 minutes.

Hey Gman. Yeah, it was easy. Small hands would be helpful. I sent you an email describing how I didn't have a screwdriver in A'ville so I used a fork (that I had to throw away:scared:)

I agree that the new bulbs improved the look by color-matching to the xenon headlights. :thumb:
I went with the AFE filter and RPI scoops. Not sure if they really made a big HP difference, but the car does sound a bit meaner, especially at WOT. (I would imagine 8-10HP would be really had to discern in a 400+HP car.) But I'm hoping all these mods will add up! :race:

Darn... I can't say Ramphaus is dim(witted) anymore. :thumb:

On the scoops, looking at the diagram below I don't see how they could be helpful? The left lower intake is essentially a ram intake. And what about the top vent? Doesn't it vent any added pressure that the scoops would be adding to the system? Just a question. I would get them if I knew it was doing something. Otherwise it's just $129 that Obama doesn't think I should have. Wait, maybe I SHOULD buy them!
What do you think theoretically?

Do you have the descriptions that correspond to the item numbers in the drawing?
Oh, and buy us ALL one...just think how much you can save!

1) the hood vent/intake - where I suspect extra air/pressure from within the box would simply exit
2) the ar intakes behind the kidney grilles (to which the scoops shovel air) - the scoops are installed behind the grill and simply channel air into those
3) the lower left corner air-intake. I suppose that this is truly the source of greatest volume. Not to mention that it must be harder for raw water to travel uphill into the box/filter rather than what I wonder would occur with the scoops in the rain.
4) the filter

Funny, that's how Mrs. Ramphaus justifies her purchases from "Sales."

I agree with your reasoning, but there are some people claiming +14HP with these scoops. There's a discussion going on at M3post.com http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=178053

You know, Mrs6D... Oh wait. I can't talk about her since she's on the boards now.

Or at least buy yourself an M6 and give her your old one.

I think you're right, to a degree. It may be a situation where you have a tremendous over-supply of air...yes, you will loose some from the hood vent, but the amount available to the intake valves/cylinders will still be a lot greater than before. :dunno:
