Earlier in the day, the U.S based dealerships received the MSRP sheet for the 2009 models. As we were told last week, by this coming Friday, we should have the ordering guides and the invoices prices released as well.

What we know so far:

BMW 335i Sedan E90 - $800 price increase
BMW 335i Coupe E92 - $1200 price increase
BMW 335i Convertible E93 - $1300 price increase
Sport package 335i Coupe - $450 price increase
Sport Package 335i Sedan - $450
M3 Double-Clutch price increased by $200 to a $2900 total
New iPhone integration will be available in October for $150
There are many other details in the bulletin, but we will let you explore them.

And yes, there is NO word of the pricing or released of the BMW 335d. As we announced a while back, our sources said the launch date was pushed back to beginning of 2009.

holy crap the 6 series coupe/vert is $2K more and sport package is about $1500 more

note they remove L7 as std on 335i..so not only is the car more but you get less on it

This is a dumb question, but why is the 650 17.7k more than a 550? I thought the 6 and 5 were pretty similar in build; that the 6er was closer to the 5 than the 7.

Am I just having a "southern" moment?

You do get more standard with the 650i, but the equivalent pricing is still about $10k more. I guess you pay for the exclusiveness.

What the 6er has in common with the 5er are some engines, trannies and a few dashboard parts. But the 6er basic design is completely independent from the 5er (as seen on the "Birth of a Sports Car" Discovery Channel documentary) also the (forecasted AND real) sales numbers are much lower - that should pretty much explain it.

After those recent BMW US related announcements regarding economic situation challenges and weak dollar I was expecting much higher prices, but the 650i is still about 36% cheaper (and the base model better equipped) than around here. :wow:

I am amazed by the US vs non-US pricing

But with the US market their largest purchasers they still need to becareful on the prices....they have few buyers now and the fact the 1 and 3 series overlap so much on $$$..I see the 1 series either doing pooorly or pulling from the 3 series buyers

I was at the PDC on Mon and we got to drive the 135i...OMFG, the car is like a pocket rocket on rails...as a drivers car, I would guess it would be alot more appealing than even a 3 coupe(the instructor said it hit 0-60 in like 4.6 sec!)

we also drove a 335i vert ..very nice but seemed a bit slower then the 135

I drove the 335i first then 135i then X6 3.0 then a 7 series sport

I am not sure how they are going to separate the 1 and 3 series for the "drivers" out there

Also taking out an expensive option on the 335i(ie the L7 sound) is stupid...the car is alot $$$...I will interested in seeing how sales # go vs profit

Maybe they will sell less but have a higher profit margin and they will be happy

The X6 took the biggest hit.

3.5 up $3000
5.0 up $3200

:scared:

I read where they were supposed to build 40k the first year. 20k for U.S. and 20k for overseas markets. To date, they have sold 30k overseas. There is still 9 months left in their first year. I guess more folks like the X5's ugly step child. :greenlaff:
