After an exhaustive review of the research literature, here's the final word on nutrition and health:

1. Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than us.

2. Mexicans eat a lot of fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than us.

3. Chinese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks
than us.

4. Italians drink excessive amounts of red wine and suffer fewer heart
attacks than us.

5. Germans drink beer and eat lots of sausages and fats and suffer fewer heart attacks than us.

CONCLUSION: Eat and drink whatever the hell you like. Apparently, speaking English is what kills you, but the U. S. Government is trying to correct the problem.

:scared: Hope it's just a cheek up mate, and nothing sinister.

Us Aussies ( well most of us) love nothing more than a good BBQ with plenty of snags and steak's all washed down by a good amount of alcohol, and a lot smoke to, which all adds up Heart Attacks:wow:

But genetics can play a big part to:ball:

As for speaking English, how's that affect the fatty build up that causes Heart Attacks?

My father had a double bypass a few years ago. He is fine now and very healthy fortunately.
I'm the one that has had a few problems for a while now. At 30, I'm probably one of my Doctor's youngest patients. I'm taking better care now that my baby is coming ... I haven't smoked for 5 weeks*!!! :woot:

*Feels like an eternity!

Aussie for sausages! :thumb:

That's good to hear commencer, I know some one who recently gave up smoking, worse part she said was going out with friends and they would smoke around her, plus drinking didn't help, because the other thing she'd do was light up when drinking.

I'm lucky, no heart attacks in my family, just other nastiness to look forward when I get older.

Strine: snag ( = banger = mistery bag)
English: sausage

Strine: Howzagoinmite?
English: Hello, how are you?

Strine: Sortentelly
English: I saw it on TV

etc.

Do you see what I meant in my previous post?

Thanks Aus!

Quitting smoking is really really hard! A lot tougher than I thought!!!! :ball:

I see exactly what you're saying about drinking and smoking. 3 of my partners smoke and every time I go out with them, I feel like either killing them or just taking it up again... it is so hard to resist!!!!!!!!!!!!

Speaking of that, I am going out with 2 of them tonight for a few drinks (after my visit with the cardiologist).
I'm proud to announce that my alcohol intake has also been reduced.
