Back on topic:
I really wish they had more of a throwback on the front end design of the Skyline. I love the R32/R34

And the Spec V
http://www.roadandtrack.com/assets/image/2008/W29/718200818144.jpg
Amid soaring gasoline prices, there's a supercar war brewing in the land of the rising sun. Talk about irony: The big three Japanese carmakers, who were once considered the primary builders of fuel-efficient runabouts, are now trying to one-up each other with mega-performance road machines. While the next-gen NSX and Lexus LF-A are running all over Germany, Nissan has quietly finalized the performance numbers on the GT-R Spec V.Here's what we found out: Nissan's newest supercar will have a very limited production run. Unlike the stock GT-R, the Spec V will be a 2-seater, though both models will look virtually identical. Output of the GT-R's 3.8-liter twin-turbo V-6 has been increased to 520 bhp at 6500 rpm and 440 lb.-ft. of torque peaking from 3200–5200 rpm. The Spec V will be slimmer by about 200 lb., tipping the scales at 3615 lb.
We hear that early prototypes are breaking the 7-minute-30-second barrier at the Nürburgring's Nordschleife, which makes it faster than Porsche's GT2. We expect the GT-R Spec V to be introduced in the U.S. sometime in early 2009, with a price tag of about $130,000 — almost twice the price of a stock GT-R. Will it be worth it? We'll soon find out.
yawn :shitfan:
we heard the same bs that the 'stock' GT-R was beating the world at the Ring in its prototype forms, though we have video evidence that it cant even beat a Z06 in production form.
now we hear more bs :sht: about prototypes beating the world again, and a GT2 no less!
Lets see, from this story, the new GT-R V will have ~520hp and weigh 3615lb, but the problem for Nissan is that the GT2 has ~530hp and weighs only 3175lb...so how is this prototype beating the GT2 that has more power and less weight at the 'ring??? :loco:
Not to mention that no competent person in the US would consider paying $130K for a nissan,no matter how "fast" :nono1:
I'll take a GT3 RS for the bargain price of $124,900!!!!! :electric:
more BS from the far east :stick:

Yeah, at that price, I'd probably look at something else. Not a Porsche, because I don't fit well in those. (too tall)
It will be interesting to see some actual numbers on the ring once it's out of prototype form!!
D!
hell yeah, im all up for competition, but nissan makes great proclimations for its prototypes, but its production cars just dont live up to specs...
and Id spend my $$$ on a 360CS if I was to spend such a sum as of yet on a car!
till then, I'll just watch from the sidelines in my tincan of a 6er!!
I'd buy that for a dollar!:greenlaff:
