Finally, the Adaptive Ride. It looks like this was an option that most people did not order. Does anyone have it on their 7 and if so, what do you think?

In Australia, Adaptive Drive come standard in the 750Li/i and 760Li/i, which imply that the 750i I drove has AD. Maybe that was why I thought the drive was so damn civilised. I would without a doubt get it.

Most people in your country didn't order it maybe because it costs a significant amount as an option? :dunno: (Here, they charge over Aust$6,000 for AD on the 740Li/i).

Karen1122,

My apologies for missing this great set of questions...

Okay, let me start with saying the 750Li is a marvelous sports sedan and you will never regret taking on the flagship. There are so many perks when you pick one up and drive the best darn sports sedan IMO.

Ok, being the true contrarian I am and cheap to boot. I am debating getting rid of my 5 and picking up a 750i. Yes, that is right. Dump the car with better gas mileage and buy the Luxo-Barge.

Well, I haven't quite picked up the real reason to get the 750i (Even if they are cheap) but if that is your main reason, you might want to consider a test run before you bite due to the price drop.

Just a few reasons to mention why the 7ers are cheap right now:
-Off lease
-New 7ers coming

Of those present owners, what are your comments on the car itself? Are you pleased with the performance? Have you had any continuing problems with the transmission? Is it too much of a jump into a real Luxo-Barge as I would mainly be driving with only one or two people in it. How about the option choice? Anyone have Adaptive Ride and is that worth it?

The "i" is too small in cu. inches for my taste. The 7er in general is very comfortable and with the "i" you'll get a lot more sport. Tight around the corners if you are one to press the pedal around the corners; totally stable with ARS and adrenaline pumping.

Performance on the 4.8 (5 litre) engine is A-OKAY! You will be very satisfied coming out of 535xi. The 7er is tuned to Accelerate with a touch of your foot pressed on the gas pedal.

Transmission issues are few typically if you do not have the current software release for engine idle inconsistencies.

The options are A-OKAY. I would not leave home without them. Good choices.
