anyone run or tried running 305/25/22s in the back on a 11" rim? A lot of 7er guys run it, with some fender trimming, why wouldnt it work for the 6, seems like a lot of room under the back wheel wells.

To quote Chris Rock.

"Sh1t, you could drive a car with your feet if you want to.

That don't make it a good ****ing idea."

i think 22s look really sleek on the 6. Everyone has their own take. Some people like the stock 19s, some people dont. I already bought the 22s, just had question about that rubber size. Doesnt look like its that easy to come by anyways. Went with 295s.

Here in LaLa land, with our poorly maintained streets, ever-present potholes, and rock strewn byways, 22s are a recipe for disaster. I hear lots of complaints from guys with the 19 flower power wheels of various destructions. And the 22s are going to be a lot worse. Beyond that, the 22s make the car handle poorly and up the already ridiculous turning radius another foot or three.

In other words, the 22s are all looks and no performance. And I don't really think the looks are any good. But if you're into looks, like huge oversize wheels, and haven't bought the car for performance or handling, then you should definitely get the biggest tires and wheels that you think look good.* It's all a matter of taste.

*You could probably get 26s or 28s on an Escalade.

opinons are like assholes, everyone has one... noones got the same taste, some people hate 20s, some people hate 22s, personally i think 20s look stupid on a 6 unless their the oem ones. But others think diff. Main thing is you do what you do for yourself. I dont do it to impress anyone, or try to act like a gangster rapper. No ones right.

I see the river called Denial. Put taste and similar sensibilities aside. How about handling and performance? You realize you are compromising both, don't you? BMW has a pretty good idea of what is the optimal tire size for the 6er in the real world. You are significantly changing that -- for appearance sake -- and currently have no idea how your changes will affect handling and performance. Sorry to drag you back into the real world. but that's what we do here. We aren't mindless cheerleaders. At some point in the future you may realize what I am writing about. No need to bite the head off the messenger, especially a really old one. :old:

Like I said everyone has their own taste, maybe some of you are 40 50 yrs old and dont find some of these mods appealing, eg. 22s. Hey iam only 25, and i really like way 6ers and 7s look on 22s. I know 22s will compromise handling and performance, by how much, who knows, but i really dont care, because if i had performance in mind, 1. i wouldnt have bought a 6series. 2. i wouldnt be putting on 22" wheels. Which actually arent that heavy, if not lighter than oem 19s. (3 piece forged)

Here is the deal, you do what you do but when you seek for peoples opinions be prepared to handle what you don't want to hear just as what you want to hear. I believe your mistake is seeking other peoples approval when your opinion is the only that counts.

iam not getting mad or what not, im just making a point that just because you think 20s look the best, dont think your right. Because, truth matter is, no one is right. Maybe its me, or the age of the people on this board, its seems theres a lot old cranky :old:
