Thanks for the pics, nealh. I think those are the first ones I've seen of a tinted 6er with the top down.

If these are not good enough to help your decision please LMK and I will post more...it was 5pm when they were taken

I will say with the rear window(you can lower this of course) up the car looks weird with the tinting..but the tinting will help with the sun at times with the top down...personally I really do not care what people think about the tinting with top down...I have to it for the summer

BTW do you think the optional wind deflector is worth $450+

I'm still wishy-washy on the tint, but do appreciate the pics.

I decided against the deflector, even when an ex-e64 owner offered his at a discount. Conversation is fairly easy with the windows up/top down up to ~70mph and heck, isn't one reason we bought the vert so we could feel the wind blowing our thinning, greying (greyed) hair?

Veyr handsome. I am sure it would improve the looks of the Interlagos Blue flavor. However, being both :old: and safety conscious I still like being able to look out the windows and see all the :sht: out there. So looks ain't everything. (As Bear often tells me. :ball: )

Night visiblity is less..but as I have said..all you have to do is have a car sitting 8 hrs in FL summer heat

I did not do it for looks.... too much $$$ for that

Wow. Very nice. Not often do I see a convertible 6er with tinted windows.

Not often do you see a convertible 6er, Ozzie. Come on. Be square with us. Do you think we're all rubes because we're north of the equator?

Thanks everyone

I think the tinting looks real good top up...I guess with the rear window up to me is the oddest look with the tinting

And I would say t oanyone stay at 35% or less on fronts if you have any night vision issues....the tinting does reduce what you see, you get used to it

OK..Eyedoc hat is on..if you are getting a bit more mature, and cataracts are a concern please becareful...but outside of Mal(who is 101??!!) ..maybe one or two others are :old: and this "maybe" an issue

True. It doesn't bother me 99% of the time (the 1% being trying to backup in darkness). Then again, I am a young grasshopper. (Hey, where's the smiley for that? There's a granny one ... I call discrimination! )
