View Full Version : Scuff marks on M6 Illum door sill.
On a related note - has anybody managed to remove scuff marks from the large door interior panel part?
GT,
Have you tried any of the Zaino leather products? I have a buddy that has a spray bottle of the Z-9 (2/3) and Z-16(1/3) mixed and swears by it for all the interior leather/pleather parts including the dash.
:scared: I thought that was explosive!
By the way, I looked very carefully, and while I have lots of dirt, primarily on the passenger side, I don't use the door sills to get in or out. I step over mine. And it has reamined pristine. I can't even see how you guys can step on them. They are so low to the ground.

A strong second to the Zaino products and Bear's comments regarding cleaning off dirt vs. repairing damage. I have successfully used Zaino and occasionally the Magic Eraser, but when it comes to fixing surface damage, IMO these things are best left alone. An attempted cure is often times far worse that the origional blemish.

It's not stepping on them, but when getting in the edge of your shoe sole scuffs across them usually left foot, and easily leaves marks.
My son's size 14's have accounted for two nice size scuffs.
I'll try the magic pads, and pick up some zaino.

No, because Zaino stuff is almost impossible to get over here. Currently just one dealer according to Google, and his webshop features Z1 only
Isn't there some equivalent leather care product from globally marketed brands like Turtle Wax, Sonax, Meguiar's, ...?

Unfortunately I am not familiar with any products that compare to Zaino. I have not used anything but their products for many many years. Maybe one of us trusted do-good knights could send you some Zaino the next time we place an order???

Those are exactly the types of marks I was thinking of when I mentioned the Magic Eraser. I'm a Zaino fan as well but was disappointed with it for this purpose.
Scuffs, I don't have no stinkin' scuffs!
