I just checked out their offering for the 650i. It bumps power to 378hp. The bad news is they modify the engine computer cicuit board making it obvious if you need a BMW repair, and sorry left coasters, its not CARB certified.
The power chip is well received in the E39 M5 world but I'm not sure I'm willing to risk warranty coverage with modified cicuit boards, etc.

Didn't seem like it made much difference to the M6 motor.

Bear,
Good catch as there is no software right now (that can increase the hp/tq) that can match the oem that they can safely promote...they posted that one for the e60 and e63 just as an inside j/k...but when i talked to them last time, they are in the process of building a software for the e63 and e60 M's...come to the meet it'll be fun

If I'm in town, I will check it out!

Wrong! It makes a world of difference. For $1490 you get a 0 HP increase and a 0 torque increase. However, your car is no longer California legal and no longer has a warranty. And, you have to use 93 octane gasoline, not 91 octane.
The 507 HP and 384 Ft lbs of torque figures being used are the Euro figures, not USA (SAE). So there is no change in performance. Your car is just no longer legal or warranted! And it sucks 93 octane gas which will cost you at least 35 cents more a gallon. What a great deal! I'm going to buy two!
As for the 3 litre turbo engine, which should have a huge performance gain, the company doesn't even have any figures yet!
I don't think Powerchip is for me (or even for Bear).

Nooo...the point is, they don't sell the software for the e60 and e63 M's...as i have said it's only an inside joke...
As far as the 335i/ the current turbo engine i will let them explain everything that they are currently formulating at the meet so you guys will come to the meet ;-)
