Not sure what you guys pay, but if Forbes is correct, then I got one HELL of a deal!

They are saying (see caption under M6 pic) That the BMW M6 costs roughly $18,548 a year to insure. That has to be a misprint!!! I pay NO WHERE near that, and I have the vert.

Yeah, I read that also, it has to be a mistake. I don't pay that much a year for all my cars together, way under that. I think they put the comma in the wrong place.

I saw it and sent an e-mail to Forbes a while back asking if the editors could send me some of the mind altering drugs Mr. Gelles had been taking when he wrote his fantasy article. In my case I can insure the M6 rattlebox, 535xi, CL55 and Dodge dually for a year for around $3100.

In my e-mail I asked them if their rate quotes were for Lindsay Lohan or a newly llicensed 16 year old alcoholic epileptic living in Manhattan.

So for a difference of 175 HP I would have to come up with $17,548 more for the exact same coverage they list for the M6. I do four vehicles for ~$2.4k a year.

:bs: Don't believe everything you read on the Internets. This Gelles guy at Forbes likes to write a good article and he doesn't let the facts get in the way. A complete idiot who has probably never owned a car himself.

Or perhaps he made a mistake: $17,548 should be read as $1,754.80 Just my .02c. :dunno:

Even dividing by 10 doesn't do it. More like dividing by 20. Unless, of course, you are Lindsay Lohan,

Then he must have been off on his decimals for the entire article.
