Hey folks - I've found that when I go to random mode while playing my iPod that it plays three consecutive songs before shuffling to a random selection. I could have sworn that a few months ago it was playing two consecutive songs before shuffling. I can't figure out what I've done to make this happen. When I remove the iPod from the car I don't have this problem and shuffle works perfectly normally.

With my iPod adapter ('06 650i, BMW factory adapter, 25.02 CIP), it does a random tune as soon as I select Random Directory (press iDrive controller while playing a song and scroll to Random Directory). It will continue to choose random songs until I scroll with the controller and select a different one. Just hitting FF or REW, plays the neighboring song but goes back to random for the next one. I leave shuffle off with the iPod in the car.

Hmm - maybe shuffle is "on" on my iPod and that's causing these shenanigans - will check.

The BMW iPod adaptor does not mirror the iPod's shuffle function accurately at all.

Have tried everything I can think of at this point. It sometimes works and at other times plays two or three songs sequentially before switching to a random selection. Oh well - it's still better than the alternative ...

Fred - You have altogether too many problems. Sounds like Destro getting his second wind. I think it's time for you to junk the 645Cic and climb into a manly new M6 E64! And this time after the Euro Delivery, you can do a Moulin Rouge drop off. (Bear will be the one singing . . . I better stop now.)
