X,
Looks to be about 2 hours from my place. You thinking of going the morning OF (we'd need to be on the road by 9) or the night before and grabbing a hotel?
We could caravan if you like!

Man, I like the hotel idea then we have plenty of time and can relax. Maybe leave Friday night after traffic dies down do a late check in at the hotel and we will be rested and relaxed by morning ready for the a long Saturday GTG. I am good for whatever though.
Either way we will caravan. I probably will be bringing the fam so we will take the 7 and M5.
The 7 is so nice to take on long trips, anything over an hour and a half is a long trip to me. Took it for a Palm Springs weekend getaway, very smooth, ultra Lux all the way. BMW did it right with the 7.

Ah yes, Maybe I will trade with whoever is riding in the back of the 7, and they can drive my 6er down there!
I just booked a room at a hotel about 1.4 miles from the venue. I'll PM you the info in case you guys want to stay at the same place. (Can't post it here, or all of our fans will be stalking the place).
I hate driving at night, so I will probably go early on Friday BEFORE the traffic. How long do you think you guys will be staying at the GTG? Depending on how late I stay, I might just stay the night on Sat too...make a little weekend trip out of it.

Are you serving shrimp and prunes?
By the way, it will be my 101st birthday on 8/11/07. I was born on 8/11/1906. (I may be off a year or two on the year since calendars then weren't what they are today, but I got the birthdate right.)
