Bimmerfest.com is Condoning Illegal Activity to Shut Us Down

I mean bimmerfest.com ‘s idea of community (the one they can then importune to buy buy buy) together. Amazingly, in that thread they have allowed this post to stay up (even though it solicits illegal activity) by one genius named BumBMW (he must have drool coming out of his mouth as he drives his 3er) in response to sdbrandon’s announcement that we’ve all left:

I thought Jon was averse to litigation. If this moron touches our website Jon and bimmerfest.com and GeneArch will have not only encouraged it, they will have facilitated it. They will come to understand just how much the BMW community shares their :ebay: ideals.

These guys know what they’re doing. They have basically dumped the 6er forum on GeneArch with a bunch of fake 6er posters. Sadly, Gene has decided to move it up a notch. At one point we were ready to take Gene in when he finally got disgusted with the crap. Now he seems to be rolling in it. Gene, we don’t want you any more. You build your community over there your way. it sure is an interesting way to do it. And enjoy the stupid posts back and forth with the 3er owners. You and they deserve each other.

Our site went down once and I wrote Tim330 a polite e-mail. If bimmerfest.com facilitates an attack on our site, the next message won’t be quite so polite, and it will be delivered by process servers in Camarillo, Santa Barbara and Massachusetts. All of this because bimmerfest.com is encouraging – by leaving up – posts on sticky threads requesting information to facilitate illegal activity against what they perceive as a competitor.

These guys are shameless twits. And worse. They’re creeps.

I agree that the guys over at bimmerfest.com are not playing nice. It seems that some posters feel threatened by us. I have seen MANY posts there refering to our new site. I guess they miss us a lot, or they miss the traffic that we used to bring there. I am no longer a member there because the guys in charge deleted my information. But whenever I go to bimmerfest.com to look around, I see that all of my old posts are still there. In the begining, I thought I might miss going there but I really don't miss it at all these days.

What is it that we are doing that isn't "nice" to bimmerfest.com ? Not being there to increase their traffic? To help bimmerfest.com get bigger so it can sell out to Internet Brands like MB World did?

One thing we aren't doing is trying to bring their site down or allowing posters to put something up -- and leaving it up all day -- asking for information about us so the poster can take us down.

After being up for 12 hours bimmerfest.com has taken down the slack jaw BumBMW's post. From what I have heard about that twit, he has difficulty figuring out how to insert key and start car. :jackit:

By the way, just to clarify it, what bimmerfest.com was doing was allowing a post to stay up that was proposing to commit a federal crime. So in the "tit for tat" category I don't think we're in the same league with those people. We don't post there and they decide to retaliate with criminal activity. Gee, what a great idea.

Following your link, I see that Jon is pleased with how big his site is and how small we are. We don't care. We aren't in it to separate BMW owners from their money, epsecially by allowing sponsors to come on the site and censor posts they don't like. And when Jon posts that Bear and I must be so proud, I think Jon was just beaming with pride about BumBMW's post soliciting information to commit a federal crime. Let me re-state that - Jon and Tim330 and GeneArch. They must have been so proud and pleased that an esteemed member of their "community" was going to commit a federal crime just for them. What a bunch of jerks.

They've taken down his solicitation to commit a federal crime but it will stay up here. And when they take no action against this wannabe criminal it will simply demonstrate just what they mean by the "BMW Community."

Nice to see you here, again. I guess you're right. Somebody wants to torpedo our site; I guess I should just let it go and let the guy do it. Must be my fault. Why didn't I see that before?

I think it's time for you to re-assess why you're here. You can post the bimmerfest.com party line here, but we can't post over there. And yet you keep reading and coming back here. (Every user's visits here are tracked -- it's embedded in the software -- so we know you spend a lot more time here than you want to admit.) I wonder why.

Anyway, thanks for explaining to me how a man takes it -- he allows someone to destroy his property and he just ignores it and moves on. A twelve year old boy, however, gets a bit upset about it. I thank you because it was something that I have not yet learned after 62 years on the planet. And you, in your infinite wisdom, were able to explain it to me.

And bimmerfest.com took down the post soliciting illegal activity, not because they are against that sort of thing, but because they didn't want to be inconvenienced by me. I'm glad you're straightening me out.

I don't care what happens at bimmerfest.com except when they allow posts to stay up from cyber hit men who solicit information so that they can kill another site -- in this case mine. For some reason that seems to elude you. For some reason it seems to bother me. As I said before, must be a weakness on my part. Something life's lessons have not yet taught me.

As for your comment that there are more posts here slamming bimmerfest.com than anything else, even you know that's not true. You've pored through every post in detail (based on your time here) and you know that you're just exaggerating.

Why have a battle of wits with an unarmed person? You are too good for that. Don’t waste your time. Remember, if you hang around brainless people long enough…you could “turn” senseless yourself! Just let these duplicitous people post their hearts out here and over at Bimmerfest.com. Who really cares? Any press is good press. Actually, I have noticed that the more they sling cr*p over there, the more we get quality members signing up here so SHHH…don’t say anything.

We know that we never delete or censor posts here at KOTR…so why would we delete his…especially when it confirms the writer’s weaknesses? It is obvious that Jon and Tim knew that they couldn’t beat us with words, spelling, content and grammar, so they surrendered. They decided that they didn’t want to play with us anymore, and they took their toys and went home by deleting our capability to post there.

I am certain they know that they can post here if they want, and you and I both know how often they are here based on IP address records. I just like to sit back; basking in the glow of the fact that our little “peon” of a website is bothering their multi million dollar, high ranked site spot on the web enough for them to spend quite a bit of time here as “guest” members to see what all the fuss is. Isn’t it glorious???
