There is no such thing as a 6erfest in Irvine, and I have been banned from that city, anyway. So it's either Calabasas or nowhere for me. There will be a huge extics GTG at the Village COffee Roaster on the 29th. So do come. Tell us here.
The Calabasas event is fun :sleep2: , but your shoes could melt in the 136 degree temperatures occurring up there. If you feel faint from the heat :shitfan: , you can always go to one of the MANY stores/businesses right there in the parking lot to find some shade. One of the BEST pastrami sandwiches :eatdrink: I have ever had is right there at “Labels Table” restaurant, so it might be worth your while to go to the Calabasas event if you want to do more than just look at cars.
The Irvine event is called CARS & COFFEE and runs from 7am-9am. There are no stores or shops so if you are not into the cars, there isn’t really much else to do there. They have a great coffee shop that serves Starbucks™ coffee, and fresh, made to order breakfasts :eatdrink: (yum) as well. The level of automobiles present in Irvine is amazing, and the nicer the weather, the nicer the crowd. Usually, a few Veyrons :tongue: show up as well as tons of other exotics. An amazing show overall.
Between the two shows, I prefer the Irvine show for a few reasons:
It is half the distance away from me compared to the Calabasas event.
I loathe hot weather. :headache:
I take a spin :race: down to Laguna on my way home.
Having said that...if I DO make it to one of the events on the 29th, it will most likely be the Calabasas :old: event. A few of the people in my VW Beetle club that live up that way have expressed an interest in checking it out, and I will need to be there to protect them from all the :bmw: Bullies.

Note to Bear: D.J.@RichardsonBMW's assistant went in while you were drafting your missive (and quoting from mine before it was edited) and stripped out all the controversial stuff. Sorry. My understanding was that you would not be around next weekend, so XMN and I decided to keep the Calabasas 6erfest in Calabasas. Someone should alert GeneArch, unless he is too busy posting on the :cult: site

Yes, you are correct. :jackit: I was not planning on being there, but circumstances have changed, and I will hopefully be there to protect my Beetle peeps from the snobbery and bad behavior that IS :bmw:

No worries.
I plan on bringing my GT3 out because I know it is Malibu's favorite hopefully it will be back in time, we got done in Nuke York early so it is on its way back. If not I will bring my pissant M3 or the peasant driven lowly X3, lets see if he saves me a spot next to his IB M6 or I will bring them both and park on both sides of him. Oh the horror!! he he
