Coupe owners. How often do you wipe the interior of the coupe's rear window. It's like trying to reach for the remote extremes of the know Universe back there! I have only tried it once. The lower you reach, the more difficult it becomes, bearing in mind that the window heating lines cannot be rubbed vertically, only horizontally, which makes it even more difficult. Does anyone ever bother with this back breaking task? And considering how tight the rear room is, it's certainly no easy task. (And no, I do not let the car wash people clean the interior. Can't imagine them crawling about back there in their unwashed clothes). My interior windows do not get dirty at all, but I imagine once in a long while it might be worth just giving it a wipe.

One of the reasons why the E63 coupe looks beautiful is precisely due to the well proportioned and gradual flow of the coupe's rear window posture. It's one of the defining characteristics of a true modern coupe.

Here is your solution. I use this for ALL kinds of hard to reach windows The windshields in my Beetles are just about as tough as the rear in the 6er coupe.

This thing is FANTASTIC!

I employ my kids (it costs me some :100: , but well worth it). While working my rims :carwash: , they're doing the interior windows.

Is there a trick to pull those out? I tried to, but it felt like I was about to break them off of the seat. The little plastic "O" rings (or however they are called, sorry :dunno: ) almost came out, when I applied a little more force. Please :helpsign: .
Thanks in advance.

Ha Ha, I should have mentioned the "difficulty". In fact what I found easiest was to sit in the seat normally, reach behind head with both hands getting each as close to their respective left/right post as possible. Force straight up. BUT be carful to use a SHORT stroke as you do not want to bang against the headliner / brake light. I saw a PDF probably from BMW TIS on this but it was so basic that I did not even bother to save it. It just confirmed that they could be removed so I did it. Go in far easier than they come out.

Now I'll go check out Bears' link.

Dang, I've hit submit three times and each time SOMEONE else posted and I have to review then try again and then look and then... well you get the idea.

Mines not a Coupe but im sure 650iOzBoy doesn't mind me adding my .02 cents worth on the subject ,but I Know my e39 has similar issue (not as bad how ever),I have fat hands :x ,I have trouble cleaning it because of the angle. When i got the car i was a bit shocked at the angle :-o

Yes, mate. I get the drift, judging by how your P plate looks. But at least you have rear seats room at the back, so you can move about easier. The hardest part is to wipe in a horizontal fashion, not vertical, because of the heating lines we all have.

On a separate note, I bet you must be the only few blokes wearing a P plate driving a 5 series. Pretty cool! :race:
