Went to the local Maser Dealer last week to see the launch and I have to say what a beauty in the flesh. The Salesman said it's likely to cost M6 money, so if performance is the most important buy an M6.

I think that it's better looking than the previous model. Now, how will it drive?

Ah, just saw this post.

Well, I haven't driven the The GranTurismo yet as was mentioned Kev946, dealers are given a show car only to show potential buyers but as they start coming in by year-end, I will test one out.

How does it look? Well, Maserati doesn't make ugly cars IMO, so that sums it up. :youbet:

Maserati better hurry though, I am closer and closer to the Vantage Roadster... No it's no 6er but I will get over it at least until 2011, where I will be back in the saddle! :bmw:

Reliability from what I have heard from current and previous owners are split. 2 out of the 5 people I chatted with had issues with their Aston's and servicing didn't seem to be a big issue. Maserati owners were a bit higher, 3 out of 5 people I chatted with had issues that were not tolerable and no longer wish to own a Maserati simply for the name.

Of course these are opinions but well worth considering if you are seeking to buy either model. As for where you go... In the Northeast, there are over 10 service areas you can get your Aston or Maserati serviced.

Let's plan a visit in Spring Valley NY; Wide, World of Cars...

I think the Maserati GT looks awkward. It looks like a melted jellybean. The front grill looks too big, like a fish sucking for air out of water. Compare the blue car below with the silver showroom car. The blue one looks :puke:.

I have counterbalanced the awkward shape of the Maerati GT with chicks in both, for your perusal, which I'm sure most of us would rather stare at, than the GT.

That's Jodie Kidd. Model in case you didn't know. She's sponspored in some way by Maserati and raced in the Troufoe Masterati Challenge in Europe. I saw her at Spa Francourchamps in 2005.

The girl on the first pic looks a little masculine IMO, the car is dirty and , I agree, the front grill looks like it's ready for some plancton...Oz, you just turned me into the dark side of the Maser GT "dislikers". :electric:

I think the rear design is actually nice.

On another note, I still like the Quattroporte.
