Audi AS5 Coupe by ABT Sportsline
The new Audi A5 combines a sporty and an unobtrusive design to a powerful, elegant and individual appearance. "A uniquely beautiful car and thus a real challenge for us," says Hans-Jurgen Abt. The managing director of Abt Sportsline raved about the new Coupe from Ingolstadt, but he emphasizes that "our designers and engineers were able to improve the outstanding base model even more".

OMG that car is awesome.

I work for a company that is developing a process to turn coal into diesel and jet fuel. Diesel is actually better for the environment, and at the moment cheaper too. I know BMW is coming out with diesel models possibly next year, so I'm waiting to see what happens.

Any chance I might find a car with the performance of a 535i that runs diesel?

Just wait. BMW and VW are developing a v-6 diesel that pushes 240 horsepower, and 610! lb ft of torque! Imagine that power at 1400 rpm's...blistering.

I like it. I am going on a performance day with AUDI at the end of the month. I'll let you know what I drive and how it all went.

Should I be :scared: ?

BMW has been using diesels for some time now... just not here in the US.

My friend in Detroit spotted a 535d last week. It is NOT an 08 or newer model, but it IS an E60 (probably an 06 or 07 based on interior shots), but did appear to be a US-spec car.

Personally, I'd LOVE a diesel and the Germans seem to really have it down, even in their luxury cars. We test drove an MB E320CDI a year or so ago and really liked how it responded, yet was pretty darn quiet. Pulling up to us, we didn't even know it was a diesel!!!
