Does anyone else with the Ruthenium trim have problems with it showing scratches and very small dings. Anyone got a idea for a cure? This has been a problem since I got the car and I have no idea what to do. Thanks in advance

I'm not familiar with the Ruthenium trim. Is there a clear coat on it? If so, you may be able to Polish some of the scratches out of it with a mild cutter. Try to find an inconspicuous area and give it a shot. If there is no clear on it, I am not sure how you would remove scratches.

Do you mean a silver polish or a "Brasso" type polish?
thanks

No, I meant like a very mild polishing compound like ZAino ZPC, but I would make sure to try it on a little out of the way spot first. Is this stuff metal or plasic? Wenol Blue might also be a option to try out. It is very mild.

I have Ruthenium Trim without any problems so far...
Can you tell us if it works Bishop, just in case we start having the same problem??
Is there a way you can get some pics of the scratches?
Thanks.

Does anyone have the prices for new replacement trim parts?
Might be less trouble than buying tons of "magical" stuff which hardly will remove all types of scratches or dings anyway... :dunno:

Or you can wait a little bit and have it replaced with the new aluminum trim.... :dunno:

No problems with the trim here either but I have heard others complain about scratches...
