6 series drivers like speed. That's for sure.

Watching this forum load to slowly was frustrating for me, so we began some serious researching with the senior level techs at Rackspace.com (who host this server). After nearly 5 years of sluggish performance, Mr. Jonathan Kelly found our problem. He has successfully improved speed on the site, and these forums specifically, by about 70%. You may or may not notice the difference, but it was extreme for me. Ultimately I had to make another cheesy YouTube video to prove to them how slow we were loading

This should help with the "Site scrolling down when I am trying to type a message" problem. However, you will still want to let the page completely finish loading before you begin typing your message. The good news is that wait is 70% shorter now. Im working on getting it 100%.

Yep, I see an improvement and I also noted the discussion over on the software board about page fully loading before typing. Thanks for the research and fix.

I also was over there checking on the question boxboss had on each post being numbered (good for linking). Without actually posing a question I did see that that board does not do that so I assume it is not written in their current code.

And finally, someone answereed Franks question in the <- previous thread next thread -> question. Someone laid on some code. Is this possible to test and see it would work?

Not sure if this sort of addresses what you mean but see the tiny little paper icon next to my username above? You can click that and it will "generate" a URL in the http box above that you can copy and paste somewhere. In this case if you do it right, it should say: viewtopic.php?p=827#p827 (http://www.knightsoftheroundel.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=827#p827)

That will take you directly to that post. Or you can right click on that little paper and choose "Copy shortcut" and thereby instantly "copy" it to be pasted somewhere, like an email or another thread...

And finally, someone answereed Franks question in the <- previous thread next thread -> question. Someone laid on some code. Is this possible to test and see it would work?
Need a programmer to lay any custom code. Im in the process of hiring one. Should have his signed agreement by tomorrow. Normal senior programmers charge upwards of $80 an hour, but he's at $60 ... and this should take him about 10 mins ...

That'll do it - great thanks.

The speed guy has yet again upped our speed. Now we are finally running at top speed. This is beautiful!

If someone can make a list in WORD of what needs to be done, that would be a huge help.

Great work! Now, this site really is quite fast, and even taking in the low member count into consideration, the smilies, the images, the everything really does work well. Thanks for the hard work NVR!
