Hi everyone,
I'm using 20" rims and lately, I noticed that when I make a turn (somewhat at/or around 35MPH or so), my car fishtails a little. My tires are brand new, so are the rims. I'm using Falken tires and perhaps, I should by a new set of rubber. Any info, or help will be greatly appreciated. And please forgive me if I posted this in a wrong section.
(I'm just a :noob: )
Thanks in advance,

Not sure about Falkens. They are a discount entry level performance tire.
Are they an all season or summer tire?
If you want something that does stick, try Michelin PS2's. :cheer:

(Yes, there's actually a Wheels & Tires forum below)
Does that still happen after approx. 50 miles? Brand new tires can be quite slippery due to some surface coating which has to be worn away first. That phenomenon is much more noticeable with motorbikes. :?
But yes, Falken doesn't have the best reputation (excpepted being cheap) neither where I live. Tires are an important factor regarding your safety and driving pleasure, so I wouldn't try to save money here.

Thread has been moved. It's hard to tell, but there is a little arrow on the thread icon that indicates it was moved.

Thanks GT and sorry for the posting in the wrong place :noob: . I'm ordering PS2 from Tirerack. I'm sure the ride quality will improve big time (it's kinda bumpy right now on 20" rims).

What would everyone think of the TSW Monage wheels on a 6er? I'd want 19s in chrome. http://www.tsw.com/img/montage_chrome_reg_pop_white.jpg

Not as bad as some I've seen, but I prefer a nice wide lip.

I like the style, but not a big fan of chrome (sorry).

I like the style, too, but I'm not a fan of chrome or wide lips. If you like them, then :thumb:

If you get 19" wheels make sure it's without a lip. Reason being your 19" wheels will end up looking like 18"' wheels. Even worse are wheels with stepped lip. Stepped lip makes it look even smaller.
The TSW Monage looks fine except for the chrome. Maybe in brushed aluminum or silver? But, if your heart is set on chrome then that is all that matters.

Those wheels are available with a blackend silver paint but I had a black 3000GT with chrome wheels and really liked the look. The TSW Montage aren't fancy but they are much lighter than the elipsoids and should be a sporty look.

Now that I can do attachments, here is a quick photochop of the TSW wheels on my 650i. What do you think?
They may not show exactly to scale (ie look like 19s on the car) but I'm no photochop expert. Plus I had to black out the brake area.
I can get them with a set of PS2s for $2950 installed.

Richard, those look pretty good. It may be that they don't appear as chrome but rather more silver in the 'chop. Again, MHO.
:shake: I hate to say it but they look a touch small.
