Hi abe!
4 wheel drive? The CEO of BMW Australia very recently said that it's BMW's branding to make rear wheel drive only, especially in its sportier models. With all the electronic gizzmos they come up with, 4WD is unlikely on a car like the 6er.

I think the X6 will fill the gap. :o

I remember that quote! I think he was verbally sparring with an Audi exec...
I'm too chicken to have RWD in Denver.

Yes, he was. He said BMW only has two competitors, something along the lines of "one is from Stuttgart [Mercedes-Benz], and the other from Japan [Lexus]", implying Audi is not a competitor. Audi immediately fired back saying that was an arrogant comment from BMW. Very interesting!

Everyone has a good point here. However, I believe making a 6er a 4WD would only add more weight to it that fine German engineers have been trying to keep off of this car. Therefore my question to you is - Why Abe? Most of us (forgive me if I'm wrong) have other vehicles that we use, when road conditions prohibit us from using our beloved 6er.
Just expressing my opinion,

Enigma you couldn't be more correct! I'm not really in a position to have two cars for such occasions. I suppose if I put some snow tires on the 14-yo Saturn it may perform acceptably in the snow in winter, but I don't have room in the garage; I'd hate to have that hunk of junk on the driveway. ;)
Abe, There is a forum for pics of your non-bmw "Other Rides" post up lets see the Saturn, man!!!

I hope you're not planning to keep your 6er outside all the time(when you get one), are you? ( ;) ).

Objection, assume facts not in evidence (that Abe is gettng a 6er).

Being able to admit the wrongdoing and ready to fix/correct it, yes.

Naw, I'm not going to get a 6, unless my company's stock goes to $20 (right now it's at 2.60). Then I'll get a M6, uh, tin can. :D
I'm just here for the legal advice and upward mobility.
