Forum Title

Id like to propose a change to the title of this forum and the convertible one.

"Coupe Issues" implies problems. Id almost go with "Coupe Discussions" or "Coupe Topics".

I agree with what you are saying. OTOH, is it necessary to have the "coupe" and "vert" forums? If you have an M6 vert, would you discuss in the 6er area, the V10 area or the vert area? Same with, say a 3 coupe - the 3-5-7 etc area or the coupe area. How about this - what if you have a Viper? Where do you discuss it?

Someone initially thought a coupe and vert forum were needed. What was the specific thinking for including them? Was the word "issues" intended to mean problems with them? There seems to now be two forums that are similar:

"General 6er Discussions"

and

"6 Series Discussions"

I really wholeheartedly believe that there should be a coupe and a convertible and an M forum... three separate forums.

People with coupes and people with convertibles share different experiences, issues, problems, and social interactions.... The M owners can join in the discussions related to their coupes or verts in the coupes and verts forums. The M forum would be for M exclusive discussion.

There are a million ways it could be done. But I have always heard Vert owners consider themselves to be a unique bunch, and a proud unique bunch at that, and they definitely have issues that coupe owners would never care about.

Besides, we are now dissecting the 6 series. We're not on bimmerfest anymore where everything was combined. Now you have to look at the six series and divide it up among its major aspects, categories, styles, and types.

Thats just one way to do it though. We could just combine verts and coupes. I just think the vert crew has identified themselves as a clique of sorts, so ... yeah.

I edited it and made it more clear.

On thing about my friend, the Bear. When he sees a good idea, he grabs it. No wishy-washy second thoughts or agonizing. On the other hand, when he made a mistake (excluding the Bear's Den as a forum) he was quick to admit that, too.

However, having said all of those good things about one of my partners-in- er adulation over the 6er - how do I explain a post such as this?

Maybe after we see how the posting goes for awhile we can tell better how to make the forum topics. I too, had reservations on so many closely related topic titles. But for some top issues and the extra weight causing the vert to be a bloated pompous gas bag there is not much difference :youbet:
